









NSS: The College is proud enough of having an active NSS Unit. The Unit works under the regulations of the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Govt. of India. The College has two NSS units namely Unit I & Unit II have been running successfully. The units usually hold special camp at least once in a year with other philanthropic normal activities in the locality. The volunteers of the NSS Unit have to take part in various regular and special camps where different attributes of life, such as understanding the community of the society, improvement of team building and organizational skills leading to greater bonding & cooperation as well as growth of personality may develop. The extension and social outreach programmes to old age homes and orphanages, blood donation camps and illiteracy eradication programmes, to name a few, are arranged by the NSS unit in a sense of service, generosity and responsibility to the poor, the weak and the needy. Along with the regular activities the annual Special Camping Programme was also conducted at our adopted village Madian and Manager para. Awareness on communicable diseases and surveys on women’s health problems were conducted with the goal of conducting a Health Camp in our college for the village women in the future. NSS unit also regularly conduct the value education speeches by eminent speakers.
NSS Activities:
Blood Donation Camp: A Blood Donation Camps is organized each year by the NSS Unit of College where students, teachers and Non-Teaching Staffs voluntarily donate blood to serve the society.
Campus Cleaning (Swachh Bharat Abhiyan): Campus Cleaning is a major activity by the NSS volunteers.
Aids Awareness Rally: Aids Awareness Rally is organized by NSS on the occasion of International Aids Day (1st December) every year to create awareness among local community with regards to HIV prevention, testing, care and treatment. The faculty members, the non-teaching staff and the students actively participated in the AIDS Awareness Rally. The goal is to make the general public understand how HIV spreads and to help people to realize that there is no need for boycott or avoidance of AIDS patients as talking, working and interacting with them cannot lead to infection.
Thalassemia, Dengue and Zika Virus Awareness Program: By organizing “Thalassemia Awareness Programme” the NSS Unit of the college has taken initiatives to create awareness among masses for the necessity of pre-marital blood screening for Thalassemia..
Environmental Awareness Program: NSS Units of our college celebrates and observes World Environment Day, International Earth Day, World Nature Conservation Day, World Forest Week etc every year.
