Vision

  • Our vision for the Bengali Department is to emerge as a leading centre of excellence for the study and promotion of Bengali language, literature, and culture in the region.
  • Through interdisciplinary collaborations and partnerships, we seek to explore the intersections between Bengali literature, other literary traditions, and broader socio-cultural phenomena, fostering a deeper understanding of the global significance of Bengali language and culture.
  • We envision our graduates as articulate ambassadors of Bengali language and culture, equipped with the skills, knowledge, and values to contribute meaningfully to society, both locally and globally.
