About the Department:
The department of history is one of the core departments of Our College. It was established in 2006 to carry out undergraduate General courses in History. Gradually UG Honours course was introduced in 2007 and the first batch passed out in 2010. The Department of History envisages students’ enrichment with knowledge and skills for spatial thinking and analysis to understand real-world problems and contribute meaningful ways to social well-being. The Departmental library contains some collections of History Books and Maps. At present, it has nearly 450 Books (reference and Texts Books).

To reach our department to a reputed position in the field of teaching- learning process, students may establish themselves at their own fields successfully and prove themselves not only as good human beings but also responsible citizens.
Mission
The mission focuses on developing critical and ethical thinking, providing strong foundation in HISTORICAL knowledge and preparing students for thoughtful engagement in various aspect of life.
